Managing depression and bipolar disease is not easy to say the least. Researchers looked at whether there was a benefit to adding either Wellbutrin or Paxil for people who are already taking a mood stabilizer.

The depression did not go away with the addition of an antidepressant. Manic-depression or bipolar illness is a mood disorder. The manic state comprises grandiosity, hyperactivity, distractibility, impatience, irritability, impulsivity and a decreased need for sleep. This lasts from a few days to a few months. After this, a person will go to the end of another extreme and experience depression, hopelessness, and low self-esteem.

Depression can be one of the most awful illnesses there is. It can be horrible to experience if you have depression, but also if you are witnessing it first hand. People with depression often say things they do not mean. They go on rages that put people around them in constant fear. There are also times when a depressed person is constantly feeling down and crying all the time.

The purpose of this study is to show that there are different interpretations of depression and the medications involved in helping contain it. In this case, doctors seem to say not to stop taking Paxil because it could risk a destabilization of one's mental health.

I was on Paxil about 10 yrs ago. It made me
more depressed. All i wanted to do was sleep. I would still have my pajamas on when
my husband would get home from work @ 7:00pm. It made me craazzzyyy!!! Those days
were like a blur to me now. I dont hardly
remember anything for that entire year that
i was on Paxil. I do remember feeling awful!

I have taken paxil for about 6 years. I could never not take it because of the withdrawels, I finally moved and am unable to see a doc. So I was forced to withdrawel, it is a horrible feeling and its been about 4 weeks now and I am still feeling the effects of it. Its like a drath vader effect the sound of the swored, why is this and why won't it go away.

well, that's rather odd.

i took depression and paxil together

it just made me better. not to mention, it didn't make me get more emotional at all.

but i understand it may work differently with other people.

so, i suggest that you tell the doctors that they have to know, otherwise, they're going to keep people insane.

I have been taking Paxil for a couple of years now, and it has definitly helped me! I had panic disorder and depression! It has completely helped me with my panic disorder although the depression comes back here and there, but for the most part, I feel numb to most things, and I welcome not being on the up and down emotional rollercoaster anymore!
