Bliss Bros. Dairy Ice Cream is Recalled Due To Possible Salmonalla

Fan of ice cream? Well make sure you read this and make sure you are not at risk. On February 23, 2009 Bliss Bros. Dairy located in Attleboro, MA had to recall ½ gallons and 3 gallons of Witch’s Brew ice cream as well as 3 gallons of Lawsen brand snikkers ice cream due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Salmonella is an organism, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in people with weakened immune systems such as the elderly and children. Side effects of people infected with Salmonella will have side effects such as:

  • Fever
  • Diarrhea (which may be bloody)
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting and
  • Abdominal pain

Salmonella can rarely result in the organism producing even more sever illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis and arthritis if it gets into the blood stream.

If you have purchased this product then discard of it immediately and call Bliss Bros. Dairy, Inc at 1-800-622-8789 for a full refund.
