Can someone tell me if Chantix and Champix are the same drug. I'm on my 3rd. week and am getting some strange effects. I seem to be getting more absent minded and a little down but my mood swings are what really concern me. I get very angry at silly things and I've had some wild dreams but the last one was quite violent. If anyone has anymore info or can direct me, I would realy apreciate it. Thanks

John: Yes, Chantix and Champix are the same drug. It is sold as Champix in Europe, but the FDA made Pfizer change the name in the US. Your doctor should have warned you about possible adverse reactions to this medication. You should contact your physician and discuss your reactions. There are several Chantix articles on this site or you can google "chantix depression" or "chantix suicide" for more info.
